Kickapoo Mountain bike Club named Volunteer Org of the Year - Illinois
In 2019 Kickapoo Mountain Bike Club was named Illinois’ Volunteer Organization of the Year! The club officers were busy with the Kickapoo Bash Super D and XC Races, so wives and junior members accepted the award on the club’s behalf at the Illinois State Fair.

Kickapoo Bike Trails Boost Tourism - Commercial News
“…The addition of another mountain bike trail at Kickapoo State Park and more miles of trails planned in the next couple years, means even more impacts on local tourism.
“It’s truly going to be a destination for the midwest,” said Steve Fox, president of the Kickapoo Mountain Bike Club.”

“In the warmer months, camp at one of 184 sites and spend your days biking 18 miles of the state’s best singletrack (ranging from easy to very technical)…“

Hoopeston Chronicle - KMBC Recognized by IDNR
Officers of the club, including Milford High School graduate Anthony Maro, Steve Fox, Troy Savalick, and trail improvement coordinator Shawn Conklin, could not attend the IDNR Outstanding Volunteers of the Year awards ceremony on Aug. 10 at the Illinois State Fair, because they were volunteering, running a previously-scheduled mountain biking event at the Kickapoo park trail system.
